Statistics

Historically Brandon experienced minimal immigration, between 1995 and 2003, an average of 66 immigrants made Brandon their home annually. A growing economy, coupled with a national labour shortage and highly successful Provincial Immigration Program resulted in notable immigration growth from 2004 onward as reflected in the table below.

In 2004 Brandon's historical average doubled and continued to climb upward peaking in 2010 when Brandon welcomed 1,433 immigrants and in 2022 we saw the number double from 2021. In the past five years Brandon has welcomed 4,970 immigrants including 1,890 in 2022.

Brandon has folks from over 70 different countries that call us home complementing our rich cultural diversity.
