The 2016 Labour Force Survey indicates that Brandon has 28,200 employed and 2,200 unemployed residents 15 years of age and over. An unemployment rate of 7.2% was evident in 2016. Based on 2016 Labour Force Survey figures, the City of Brandon has a 66.1% participation rate of employment for all persons 15 years of age and over.
