In order to receive free health care, you must have a Manitoba Health number. All applicants can contact the Manitoba Health office in Winnipeg at 204-786-7101 or toll free at 800-392-1207 for help in completing the Manitoba Health application.
The fully accredited Prairie Mountain Health (formerly Brandon RHA) offers a wide range of health services and programs to the citizens of Brandon, three municipalities and serves as a regional referral centre for the Westman area.
The Prairie Mountain Health region also oversees community-based services which include Public Health, Home Care, Mental Health, Audiology, Midwifery Services, 7th Street Health Access Centre and Medical Officer of Health. There are also five personal care homes and a ten-bed supportive housing unit within the Brandon area.
The Brandon Regional Health Centre provides Acute Care, Outpatient Care & Clinics, Extended Care, Ambulatory Care, Rehabilitation Services and a full range of Diagnostic Services including MRI and Westman Regional Lab. There are over 100 physicians and specialists with admitting privileges at the Health Centre as well as numerous medical clinics located throughout the City to meet the needs of residents.

Brandon is home to rehabilitation services of all types provided by certified therapists in a range of settings including health offices, medical clinics, and local businesses. Most rehabilitation services such as chiropractors, physiotherapy and massage therapy are offered on a fee for service basis and are covered by many extended health care plans.
