We are excited that you are considering Brandon as your location of choice in Canada. Brandon is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Currently the Economic Development Office does not participate directly in the immigration process, but can help with relocation resources such as housing, employment, education and recreation and help connect you with settlement services once you arrive.

Brandon was one of 11 communities approved on June 14th, 2019 by the Government of Canada for a new immigration pilot program (Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot, RNIP) that will give rural employers the ability to directly select immigrants to hire in their businesses and will also give immigrants, that meet the criteria, the ability to accept employment offers and make that community their permanent residence.

The program is called the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) project. The Brandon RNIP program information is available on our brandonrnip page of our website.
