A.

Applicant’s language proficiency is higher than minimum levels established by the RNIP for the position for which the applicant received a job offer as confirmed by an Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada recognized third party organization. Yes = +15 points

B. If applicable, applicant’s spouse’s or common law partner’s language proficiency is equal to or exceeding CLB/NCLC 4 in all areas of testing as confirmed by an Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada recognized third party organization. Yes = +8 points 
C. Applicant has completed a post-secondary program in Brandon, Manitoba within the past twelve months that is a minimum of 2 years in duration. Please note, to qualify for the available points the applicant must have completed the program’s full period of study in Brandon, or transferred from another post-secondary institution into a program that is only available in Brandon. This is to be confirmed by the post-secondary institution in writing. Yes = +10 points
D. If applicable, applicant’s spouse or common law partner successfully completed a post-secondary program in Brandon, Manitoba within the past twelve months that is a minimum of 2 years in duration. Please note, to qualify for the available points, the full period of study must have been completed in Brandon, or transferred from another post-secondary institution into a program that is only available in Brandon. This is to be confirmed by the post-secondary institution in writing. Yes = +5 points
E. At the time of application, the applicant is authorized to work and is currently employed (receiving wages) in Brandon, Manitoba or within the geographic boundaries of the Brandon Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP), with the company that made the job offer. Yes = +20 points
F. At the time of application, the applicant has held a full time paid job for at least six consecutive months (or a part time equivalent) in the past 3 years in Brandon or the geographic boundaries of the Brandon RNIP. Yes = +5 points
   
G. If applicable, at the time of application, the applicant’s spouse or common law partner, held a full time paid job for at least six consecutive months (or a part time equivalent) in the past 3 years in Brandon or the geographic boundaries of the Brandon RNIP. Yes = +5 points
H. At the time of application, if applicable, the applicant’s spouse or common-law partner, has demonstrated work experience or post-secondary education that could fill Brandon labour needs as:
 I.   At the time of application, the applicant has lived in Brandon or the geographic boundaries of the Brandon RNIP for at least six consecutive months in the past 3 years. Yes = +15 points
 J. If applicable, at the time of application, the applicant’s spouse or common law partner, lived in Brandon or the geographic boundaries of the Brandon RNIP for at least six consecutive months in the past 3 years. Yes = +5 points
 K. At the time of application, the applicant and/or if applicable, the applicant’s spouse or common-law partner have an existing personal connection to someone who has been a permanent resident of Canada and who has lived in Brandon or within the geographic boundaries of the Brandon RNIP for a minimum of 2 years or is a Canadian Citizen. The connection must be currently living within the RNIP boundaries and be willing to provide written confirmation of their intent to assist the applicant with settling into Brandon or within the RNIP boundaries. Connection points may be awarded as described below.


Existing connections

    • Close family connection (Parents, previous legal guardian, siblings, or children of applicant or spouse / common law partner of applicant). Each individual confirmed connection receives the points listed to a maximum of 30 points. Each confirmed connection = +10 points to maximum available points

    • Medium family connection (Grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew). Each individual confirmed connection receives points listed to a maximum of 15 points. Each confirmed connection = +5 points to maximum available points

    • Friend (no relation through blood, adoption or marriage). Each individual confirmed connection receives the points listed to a maximum of 6 points. Each confirmed connection = +2 points to maximum available points
